PLC Trauma Informed Approach
Every student follows an individual or bespoke pathway at PLC. To hep us consider the best pathway for each student to follow we have developed a model based on the Trauma Recovery Model (TRM) Academy approach. This model identifies 6 broad pathways which provide an overview of the types of underlying needs a student might have, how they may be presenting and the sequenced approach to their programme that we will put in place.
The aim is for students to move through the pathways until they are able to operate at Pathway 1 – where they are fully engaged in learning, achieving their goals and have a clear future pathway.
