We are the South Gloucestershire School for pupils who are unable to access mainstream school

The Pathways Learning Centre provides education for a broad range of young people with varying needs, aged between 4-16 years old. Pupils who may be temporarily unable to attend their mainstream school for a variety of reasons. This may include medical and complex mental health needs, those who have been permanently excluded from school, or those that may have Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) who are waiting to be placed in a more specialist setting. We are a short term provision; where the vast majority of pupils are supported to return to their mainstream school, or transition to a new school or setting. A small number of pupils stay with us long term to complete their education.  We work closely with many partners including parents/carers, CAMHS, Educational Psychology, 0-25 service, FYPS, Youth Offending Team, Health Services and Social Care.
